Default Oregon Specific Help Please

Open question to anyone from Oregon, or those familiar with Oregon laws...

I'm moving to Oregon in the fall for a temporary (6-9 months) work assignment. My company will ship my KLX. I would also like to bring along a KDX200 so that my daughter (that lives in Oregon) and I can do some trail riding. What do I need to know before riding off-road in Oregon? The KDX came from Mississippi, and does not have a title. Will I need, or more importantly, will I be able to get, an OHV sticker to ride off-road in Oregon. Do they do a VIN check in Oregon? Is there anything I need to know before taking my plated KLX off-road?

Thanks.

You should contact the Oregon State Police, I'm sure they could get you your answers:

Are any of the bikes stolen? To ride at a official OHV site in Oregon you need a OHV sticker on your bike. It's easy to get. They do take your VIN number. I recently registered a ATV I purchased a on eBay that didn't have a title and I didn't have any problem. Other than that everything should be fine. If your looking for places to ride you can check google search Oregons's OHV website.

Thanks for all the help, especially the first-hand permit knowledge. I bought the KLX new, so I know that one isn't stolen. The KDX is a used (1989) bike that I'm considering buying. The lack of title makes me nervous. I think I will see if New Mexico will help me out with a VIN search before I lay down any cash.

I'll be in Hillsboro. I'm going to decline the company rental car (in lieu of a monthly stipend of $300), and use one of my daughter's cars (that has a trailer hitch). I'm hoping to find a 3-rail dirt bike trailer there, so I can get together with some of my Northwest KLX family (you guys).
