oh thank goodness. I thought I was too late. I was going to say if you are keeping the klx, don't bother getting another DS. And if you're 240 pounds then a 250 ninja would get real old real fast.

Before those who say the 250 will out perform the 650 and try to flame me, keep it to yourself. The 250 is great for some, but not for all. Especially if you don't weigh a a buck ten soaking wet.

Congrats on the bike. I'm looking at getting a street bike perhaps this year but most likely next year. Had my eye on a GSX-R 750 that my brother in law bought at a car auction. Price is right and its a sharp looking bike IMO. I think they all do though so it doesnt matter what brand it is to me.

Oh and....GET US SOME PICS.

hook yourself up with a free photobucket account, then upload them there, resize them, and get the link to the picture. once that you can put them in between this "[IMG] [/IMG]" without the quotes.

couldn't agree more with you about the ninja 250R; just like the KLX250- if you're heavy it's not the bike to have. oh, and watch out for the gixxers that aren't liquid cooled. I think '95 and prior are just air/oil cooled and tend to run hot and aren't worth crap really. anything '06 and newer ruled everything in that class. and '97 later are fuel-injected. I'm a gixxer 750 fan btw. though the Ninjas are nice as well especially the 6R from '95 and beyond. can't forget the original 1990 ZX6 in blue- my first Ninja.

Yah this GSXR is an 06. It's quite nice. Better part is that my wife liked it too. She hates bikes so i'll be lucky to get one at all. I might just borrow this one for a bit and see how I actually like it, as I've never really gone on a long bomb on a sport bike. 750 sounds like its perfect for me too, as I'm larger. Although I'm sure 650 would be plenty, yet 1000 is no need. For me anyway.

Was going to take it out this weekend actually but:

The sport bike and dual sport combo works very well for me. I put9k miles on the 10 last summer and like it as a road bike. Certainly not a gold wing for comfort but who wants to ride a sofa on wheels. Saw the Versys in person at the dealership today and will say they look alot better in person than in the pictures.

that ZX10 is the sweetest looking one of the model years. The new '08 is fugly. It looks like something from the future with it's gaudy exhaust and plate hanger. The cool thing about your year is the exhaust out the middle. That is so sweet and I'm glad the ZX6R still does it that way. You've got two sweet bikes there my friend. I love your '06 as well. I had one.[&o]
