I love that Ocotillo Wells/Anza-Borrego area. Split Canyon and many, many other trails in that area are great.

I just got my edge tail light system today. It says not to use the stock flashers. If I do use the stock as some of you have, will I do any harm to the brackets that would mess them up if I wanted to go with the smaller flashers in the future?

no harm - I found i had to grind a tiny bit of the metal bracket that you screw into - to get it to fit.

Make sure you do it slowly and make sure its perfectly flat - this will stop the signals flopping around (so stop and test the fit continually).

Well, this is how I got them to fit; it all fits together and looks the part. Just strip the old stuff off and have a look at how to get it to work.

Paul
This will not affect anything should you want to put it back to stock.

Default Project edge tail light completed

Hey Barbz,

I figured out what you were talking about after I'd cut off a bit too much of the stock flasher holder. I reinforced it with a specially grinded flat washer on each side and they feel secure. It took the better part of the afternoon as I had to make to runs to the parts store for wire connecters. I didn't use the provided ones. Other than that everything went smooth. Thanks for the input.

Good stuff - I cut too much off one side before figuring out what impact it had. Second side is spot on.

If i get energetic I will fix it at some stage but until then it doesnt move around enough to cause a problem.

Cheers
Paul

Thanks, the rack is great, I have an old wolfman pack (1st generation) with 4 bungee cords coming out each corner - a $20 ebay find. It works like a charm.

I wish Edge would make a brighter led for their kits, the smoked one is a let down on intensity and sets you up for an accident!

Last week before I got my UPS I called Forest at Wheeling Cycle and asked about my order. When I was on the phone with him out of curiousity I asked what a replacement lens cost, he said $5. You could order yourself a red one to replace the smoke. BTW that was my fear with the smoke lens. Thanks for confirming my su****ion, well that and what a cop might say about its street legal-ness...
