I run 2 locks on each wheel, 180 degrees from each other. It is mostly for balancing the wheel out. I can run highway speeds with very little vibration. I only put the locks on for peace of mind. I run probably border line pressure for the need of locks, around 18 psi. I found in my area if I go much lower in pressure I feel the front rim hitting all of the rocks.

I think that kawi left the lock out due to the balancing issuse with it being street legal.

I ordered a 4 ounce wheel weight and I intend to get the wheel ballanced. Riding off road there's always the risk on the counter weight coming off. I'm also gonna get a lock for the front too. This incident has gotten me a bit paranoid.

Its best to get an assortment of wheel weights because even though a rimlock weighs 4 oz doesn't mean putting 4 oz across from it will balance it. Sometimes a wheel with no rimlock has a few ounces of balance weight on it. Just a heads up.
