yeah, it will bottom out stock. they say it's set up for a 150 lb rider, but that's me and I bottomed mine out all the time. I adjusted it and now it won't bottom out and I'm getting a lot more air than your little jump there. The susp. is okay for us smaller guys as we can adjust it, it's the guys over 200 lbs that may need stiffer springs up front if they're really pounding it on jumps.
I forgot what the 250 sounds like without the BigGun.

seriously tho... what way did ya go with the screws on the front shocks to stiffen em out and how much?
just did the rear... took it down to about 1/2 inch thread left unused on the shock.. what a diff... now to stiffen up the front although i dont think ill need to adjust em much... just doin the rear made a world of diff.
Jsac, check the post a few down about suspension adjustments. You should adjust the preload to set ride height not to prevent bottoming out. Up on top of the shock on the piggyback there is an adjuster, same clicker deal as the front shocks, not sure how many clicks it has to it but it says right on it H and S for harder and softer. Turn it all the way to H counting the adjustment and then back it out to something less than that to make it firmer.

when doing the front forks, jack the front of the bike up to get all load off of the forks. then, with a straight edge screwdriver, let the built up air pressure out of the front forks by loosening both side screws (they're bronze or gold) on the top of the forks. then, you can start with the compression adjustment on the bottom after you get those pesky rubber caps out. I think I originally let it out 14 clicks from fully seated, but then about a week ago I reset it to just 7 clicks from seated. this helped dramatically for me. I have been driving/wheelying off of a ledge about 5ft. high (to judge) and earlier it would bottom the front fork if i landed level, but now it just compresses hard but i do not hear it bottoming. I think I will reset it to just 5 clicks out though from fully seated. but i did notice that the ride was more harsh on road, but still not like my sportster which I lowered 3 inches.
oh yeah, i'm 150lbs.
