Talking

did a 330 kit this spring, as well as the intake, full exhaust, dyna jet stage two, lower gearing, and i also ride 95 percent dirt. the 330 helps a ton down low and climbing. actually every where its noticable, but for me the cv carb set up was way to slow for dirt riding. threw in a 36-68 last night with minimal tuning and pretty much just set the pilot circuit up and went for a rip. WOW! the most noticable mod, hands down, that i have ever done so far. it is like riding a rocket ship. cant wait to fine tune a little bit when the other jets come. try the carb down the road after you break in the big bore, you will not be dissappointed.

Thanks i read the post and it seems everyone is about 2500 to 3000 ASL

im at 500 to 900

i know im running my bike richer then most of the forums being @ 132 on the main and 4 slots down on the needle

do you think the carb at stock form would be good for me since most i have seen was leaning the carb out

or did i read the post wrong ?

No, I can just about guarantee that the delivered jetting on the 36 will too rich for any KLX under most any circumstance. I know some got the bike to be driveable by just installing it, but I don't think anyone was able to leave it in the delivered jetting. It seems to be jetting more suitable to a 250-350cc competition bike in the 35-45 hp range. Trust me...get the designated needle, needle jet, pilot jet, a .09 air pilot jet, and 2 or 3 other main jets as indicated in Mustang's and Mooredan's posts. I can get you dialed in from there. I only had to pull the carb one time and install the .09 air pilot jet, and this has been the only alteration I had to deviate from their settings.

Sounds good! I'll be looking forward to when my carb arrives in a couple months.

In the same box will be a flywheel that's been lightened a pound or more

I can't imagine what it'll be like after those additional mods...it zooms through the gears so quickly now - bigger carb and less flywheel effect?

I switched from 14/44 gearing to 13/44 yesterday, and when I banged second gear the front end shot right up! It wasn't doing that with the 14/44..

I'll be keeping that gear ratio but switching to 14/47 (almost the same) to keep a larger diameter front sprocket on it.

This bike just keeps getting faster and faster
