I really would like to know, if there are any API English support Tech Guy. I have experience mapping ECU for bike, but the API software is totally diferent from any other application I have tried before.
Any reply will be welcome.
sindico440, you are right about the software! Many variables & very different than other tuning software available for other bikes/companies, that i have seen.

I have a couple of Thai speaking people that help me out with talking & emailing APi, without them I think I would have given up with them long ago! Mr Pattapong (Pong) used to be their top tech man in Bangkok, now he just does online tuning for them with software called teamviewer as a sub-contractor basis, since he moved from Bangkok. They will give you 2 free online tuning sessions with Pong...I won't give out his phone number on here but he can be emailed on beamhobby_1@hotmail.com this email address is public on the Thai D-Tracker forum & he uses it solely for tuning sessions. Btw he speaks almost no English & certainly does not read or write in English.....good luck

If you have no Thai speaking friends or someone who can write in Thai (google translate doesn't work at all with technical bike terms etc), get the Power Commander V. IMHO

I can help with MAPS but that's it.

Well no doubt that API ecu is the most advanced way of controlling every variables of the ignition&injection of the KLX, but mastering the software tool without proper explanations is going to be hard...

today I spend an hour with Pong ( who was in Bangkok for the honda cbr project ), the guy is an ace and he knows the KLX backwards, but as i suspected he's doing much better next to your bike while he is tuning than the online session i had before at API.

@sindico: if you want my maps, i can email them to you but they are for a 300cc engine at sea level,30 degres centigrade temp, very humid, big diameter exhaust ( 2BR full system ), open airbox with DNA air filter.

Owelter, I am considering the API specifically for the fact that ignition timing can be altered. On the maps that you are now using, has the timing been adjusted? My temperature conditions in Seychelles are identical to yours and I have a 300 with megabomb header, Leo-Vince tailpipe etc. Would you mind e mailing your maps so my tuner can check them out.

Is it possible to disable the subthrottle(on the standard bike/ecu)?
It's only there for emissions reasons in certain countries isn't it?
Would that improve performance?

Try searching on this forum for posts by Jeffward. He posted pictures on how to remove the sub throttle.
I do not know what it does, workshop manual gives no explanation.
Any one out there have an explanation?, I would love to know what its there for before I whip it out.

This is the screw must be removed. Be careful, is fixed with Loctite

Should be left after this manner. the servo will still work but no lid.

No problem, all benefits

The API ecu has a subtrottle tab, you can put it at 100% @ all rev. Maybe the butterfly is used as a choke closing the intake when the bike is starting, the guys at API told me to leave it alone.

for those interested, here is my MAP for the "unlimited API ecu" suitable for a 300 cc engine, open intake, big diameter exhaust, tropical climate sea level:

Many Thanks "Owelter" I already got your MAP (300.cfg) and will use it to compare with mine, that I'm playing until now. atmospheric and climatic conditions, seem to be the same from where I live, but my KLX still 250cc with air box opened and exhaust system too.
I took a look at your map, and one thing caught my attention.
In the table, injection by MAP, everything is filled by 0,00 (zeroes), is it right or may be a bug or download error.????
