Got it! Thanks folks. I'll be getting the KDX200 snorkel and jet kit.

i run without a lid. ran my bike through everything but water over the seat at speed and have yet to have a problem.

My KLX is an 07 and use the 07 kdx220 snorkle. is twice the opening. I ride in alot of mud and soupy areas.

If you dump it over sideways a snorkel isn't going to help, if the water is deep enough to get in the side (then bottom) of the hole for the lid, it would get in the snorkel.

I tend to avoid waterholes that look deeper than a couple inches. And after getting stuck in that mudhole a few weeks ago, I'm avoiding ALL mud unless someone goes through first.
