I think I'm leaning to the smaller skid plate, and maybe I'll have my machine shop add two ears that curve around the ears on the bike frame, I'll let you know how it turns out.

I like the way the one pictured above, curves up further than the stock plate -- my first ride in gravel, I kept hearing all those stones (from front tire) hitting the unprotected front of my engine case, between the small stock skidplate, and the frame juncture -- kept hoping one wouldn't hit hard to enought to crack it! Slowed way down in gravel after that. Maybe I'll have small side ears added, too, for those spaces inside the 2 frame loops on each side.

All I did is go to the kawasaki home page and go to the accessory page for our bike. The part is listed there.

The above link should get you right to it. The plate is not to big but not to small. Perfect for the romping around in the woods and mud. $68.95 bucks.

Okay I tried the link... It just takes you to the accessory home page... go to body accessories and its there. The skid plate is made by works connection.
