Default size hone for KLX300R cylinder?

Gonna run with a 300 cylinder I got on ebay. I'd like to very lightly scuff the plating and am unsure what size hone ***** to order. The cylinder is just over 3" in diameter. What size hone ball do I need?

Deglasing a nickasil'd bore is optional ..? Scotchbrite red goin round n round, never up and down, will do it.. Not sure the ball hones are capable of deglasing nickasil..

I agree. I have used a sunnen power hone to remove melted piston from snowmobile cylinders. Unless you use a diamond hone a std stone will not touch nickasil.

Scotchbrite it and call it a day.

Ditto-all you can do is try and remove any deposits-the surface coating is not going to be touched by anything less than diamond hardness. If the bore has scratches that go below the surface then the only way to fix that is a replate.

I installed a DJ kit a few months ago. Won't change jetting unless needed.
