Do you have any pictures of the process that you did or can you write a how to. I am interested.

Unfortunately, none. used a marker where I need to slice then got a long kitchen knife with sharp jagged edge. I then used electric sander to smoothen it and shape it accordingly. I left the rear end of the seat cover stapled.
I Did the cutting and sanding with the seat on the bike. Go easy with the sander. Foam is soft.

Watch this. Helps in stapling it back.

Sorry to resurrect.. but this is very well done.
If I pick up this '07 KLX250S I've been eying for my wife... this will be the first "mod".

Still love my shaved seat. No regrets. Been back riding the last 3 months since the accident taking it easy for now . Peace

I've never done anything like this, but a friend told me what he does to make it easier for him. He said to get the foam damp and freeze it, before cutting. This makes it harder, and easier to work with. Thoughts???

I just used a long serrated knife works well I just don't like the idea of wet foam . Foam is hard enough to cut with a sharp knife

We can legally put our bikes on the road by March 15. It is because of the winter tires law. There is no winter tires approved by our MOT.
