Okay, y'all sold me! I bought a new '07 KLX250 today from my local dealer and I am L O V I N G this bike !! It's no rocket, and I didn't expect it to be. It rides better than I expected, it corners great, feels light as a feather compared to my Harley and is exactly what I was looking for.
I'll have plenty more questions for the forum. In the meantime, I think my Harley will be colleting dust.

Good for you man!! Sounds like your a happy biker!! I made the mistake by keeping the stock pipe for too long mainly because I was liking the fuel economy I was getting which was fantastic (230kms - 142 miles per tank) but...........was yearning for that little extra bit of grunt later on down the track..........so I had a slipon installed about a week ago and must say WOW talk about a different bike. Dont make the same mistake I did. Heaps of mods to do as well which can be done at next to no cost if you do them yourself.

The KLX is a good bike but the new Wr250R is a far better bike
You should have bought this bike and spent the extra coin for a better ride and look.
I test rode the new Wr this week and was very tempted to buy my third bike.
Awesome looks and the performance is no brainer compaired to the KLX

had two of them 06 - 07 like them the way the looked as long they can do 65mph good enuff for me.

I'm not sure either how accurate the speedo is at that kind of speed, but as someone else mentioned those digital gauges are pretty cool. I like a nice set of analogs myself, but this display is really quite good.

I looked at the WR. Very nice and most likely better performance than the KLX. However, the performance gain didn't outweigh the significantprice increase for me. I'm very pleased with the KLX. It's a very fun bike and perfectly fits what I was looking for.
