Yah if you can't move the kickstarter - something bad happened.

You're going to need to tear it down and start investigating.

It's not a hard job, just take your time. Clean the bike well first to avoid any crap getting in the motor.

Good luck.

Old trick i've used a few times is to take the spark plug out and fill the cylinder with Marvel Mystery oil (basically Auto trans fluid) or diesel and let it sit for a few days then try turing the engine over by hand. If that don't work take the head of and give the piston a few whacks with a block of wood (round and as close to the same size as the piston if possible) to free up the piston.

Otherwise it might be a fun job trying to remove the jug with the piston stuck inside...

Of course that only if it is indeed the piston that is stuck, if the crank siezed.... well ...

Points more toward the piston now.

sounds like it, the only time ive seen these seize was cus of low oil, but slow speed sand riding cooking the piston would be my next guess. ive riden a lot of sand, but i also ride much hard/faster then most people with this bike so i get more air threw the radiators.

You could have possibly folded a piston ring, but I don't know. I had the exact same thing happen this morning as you did but I have the 351 kit and everything is pretty fresh. I wasn't riding in terrible conditions like you were either.

Two totally different situations. I would ask how do you fold a ring.

Rings break or seize. You sir broke a valve, a whole other situation for another reason.

This original poster had what I THINK is an overheating problem. I think the piston got too hot and swelled taking up too much room in the cylinder causing a bind and scoring the cylinder.

A moment of silence for dazdh and his KLX.
