Nice video! Sweet wheelies too. Given the terrain you like to ride on, I think you made the right choice. The KTM would have also been just as good in my opinion.

Probably a KTM200 two stroke. Always wanted to try a nice two stroke and the light weight.

DR's are a bit better off road. KLR's are a bit better on road.

That, and, the fact that the DR is simpler, and lighter.
I plan to big bore it add some bags and a windshield and some 80 /20 tires.
My son has a street bike and likes to ride so i figure i can ride with him some as well as ride some of the easier dual sport events made for BIG Bikes.
I am fairly short and the DR has been lowered to suit me. The KLR felt more top heavy than the DR to me. I guess it would have been a toss up between the two if i were a bit taller in the legs.

Well my #1 vote is for the TE630, but then take a look at my signature and you'll know why! I love my Husky! It is so much fun to ride, and has tons of power. I'm real happy with my newly installed 351 kit on the KLX, but it cannot touch the Husky. The Huksy has so much torque that it would wheelie super easy, if I could ride a wheelie. I use my SM610 for traveling as well, and it's been great. I rode it on a 1200 mile trip, and several other trips in the 500-700 mile range.
I knew I shoulda got the husky!! but I pick up the Huuuuusaberg tomorrow..

Here are a few pics. I live in NY and got the bike in NJ for 8500 out the door.. they are normally 10500. Unreal power... light nimble and so fun to ride thanks for the comments and advice Im glad I picked up this one. I will however BE KEEPING my KLX. I love my KLX its so comfortable to ride long distances with the sergent seat and soft suspension. Gotta love having two bikes though

Nice, I'd love to have one. I'd have to get some knobbies on it quick though.

Sweet! That motor is pretty weird situated in there. I've never seen a husaberg on the road or offroad around here. Probably like seein a lambo or ferrari around here too haha.

That's a bad dude. Are you saying it's suspension is stiffer than the KLX? I'd love to see someone figure out how to mount some hard luggage on one.
