i still can't decide what to do about my seat. the more i think about, i really don't want to spend $300+. i'd much rather the 351 kit or even the new ims tank if i'm going to spend that much money.

i just got home from a 80 odd km woods ride with a nice mix of slower tight rocky trails, mud, water and wide open dirt roads, and honestly my *** doesn't hurt that much. my whole body does, haha.

i'm thinking more and more towards the seat concepts. it's half the price and i'm sure i'll be more than happy with it.

See! Pain is relative. Ride's so long that your butt's starting to hurt, mash your foot against a rock! Presto, no more butt pain. That was easy wasn't it?

thats funny cause i actually did crack my foot of a rock and even with my thor mx boot it wasn't fun. actually think i would have broken a toe without the boots.

Default latest update on the Sargent

Is it $300 better...I don't know. I sit forward on the seat but could still feel the widened pan under my ****...so I guess that is a good thing and should help. I didn't feel the need to stand on the pegs during the ride and my **** wasn't completely numb when I finished but by the same token, I didn't feel like I had been sitting in my recliner either. Did my *** hurt? yes. But it wasn't killing me like the stock seat. Sargent says it will break in with use, so we'll see.
Here is my latest thoughts on the Sargent. I'm liking it more and more with each ride. I think it is breaking in and getting more comfortable. The wider pan definitely helps and you can feel the support, even when sitting forward, as I do. I did about 40 miles this afternoon in about 90 minutes, mostly street but also some gravel road. At the end, my butt wasn't killing me like it would have been with the stock seat but it definitely had some tingle in it. However, I could easily have gone another hour without taking a break. I don't love it yet, but I'm getting there. By the way, for what it is worth, I'm middle aged, in decent shape, 5'8, 180 lbs.

Mine came today. Will try it out tomorrow. Red piping isn't worth $20, but I like it anyway. ;-)

Does yours have any play with it?
Mine seems to have a slight wiggle on the right hand side...
