60 (55 GPS indicated) thats where I ride.

 

I was gonna say 80% of redline since we've done that before on one of our "supermoto play" days.

 

I have done 100 miles at a time at wide open, and have had no issues. Your *** will wear out before the bike does.

 

Thanks guys for the replies....you answered my question. I just wanted to know what you were all cruising at on the highway. It's nice to know some of you have run it flat out for extended time....I don't plan on doing that but good to know the engine can withstand that. BTW, my bike's broken in already...so my question had nothing to do with that.

I ride 25 to 30 mins to and from work everyday. i find The best cruising speed is in 6th gear at 110km(68mph). But periodicly I hit 120km(74.6mph). I have 15500 miles on my 2009 klx 250s and loving it.

 

I have ridden mine to our cottage in northern Michigan, which is 200 miles of highway riding. I ride between 60 and 65 on the speedo (which is 54 to 59 on the GPS) the entire way with one stop for gas. The bike doesn't get hot and doesn't complain at all.
