Default S vs SF forks

What is the difference internally between them? Was wondering if there was just a spacer and shorter spring in the SF. Can you pull the spaced and install the longer spring?

I don't know, I would imagine you are correct in your thinking.

AFAIK no-one here on the forum has been into the SF forks that far, at least I don't remember seeing anyone posting about taking the forks apart.

I doubt there is a spacer. The SF has a stiffer spring rate.

Looking at the online fiche between 2010 S & SF, the only different part number is the spring.

There has to be something since the SF has less travel.
