Rode my buddy's bone stock 09 yesterday..
I have been wanting to ride a stock one for a while since I can't remember what that was like.. Yesterday swapped bikes with my buddy who has a stock 09.
HOLY CRAP. hahaa... Man, it felt real good to know that all the work I put in to it actually made a BIG difference.. The 09 felt like a moped. It was so silent it could be mistaken for electric. There was pretty much no torque.. Crazy how much of a difference the 351 and a few mods makes!! My buddy didn't want to give me my bike back.. hahaa
Anyone else ever rode a stock one after riding your modded one for a while? What did you think? Now I remember why I did the 351, hahaaa

Larry, you're not exaggerating one bit. I rode a new '06 KLX back in '06 at the shop I used to work at. What a dog...turned me right off from considering one. It wasn't until last year in '09 that I rode a friend's modded KLX with full Muzzy, airbox mods, jetting, etc. Whoa!...a different bike. I bought that bike. Now with a 300 jug and Race Tech suspension it's even better. It's hard to believe that the KLX250's potential is so big when you ride a bone stocker.
Try going from a BB jug to a bone stock KLX that needs a valve job. I rode my KLX yesterday after a valve job and it felt like I modded the bike
One of these days I'm gonna go the Bill Blue way. Or the orange way...
