Default Ride report vs Ride itinerary

Ok, hopefully I make sense of what I'm thinking here. I see the Ride report on here which allows all to go and see where our forum friends have enjoyed their bikes. As cool as it is, this viewing, though, is done so in the "past tense." (meaning the ride has already taken place) Is there a spot on this forum, or any forum that someone may know about which creates a post for future rides which would afford those who may live in the same region to join up for rides together, thus allowing people to form new riding buddies?

I live in SW Washington and 10 miles from the Washougal MX. Although I care nothing for MX, there are tons of trails all around. Most of my riding is done solo, but for all I know one of you fellow KLX'r's could be my neighbor in Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA and we'd never know it.

I'm not a forum linguist, but I think the term stickie is what I'm looking for.
My vision looks something like this (Ride Itinerary):
You post a message-
Hey all, gonna plan a day trip to Jones Creek above Washougal MX on such and such date. Anyone interested?
We'll meet at Bi-Mart in Washougal at 0900 and head up at 0915. Should be up there with kick stands up by 1000.

This may very well expose those of us on here to others in our area we'd never know otherwise. Who knows, Deej, who lives a bit north of me, might get a wild hair and reply back with, "I'm loading up and gonna leave the pad at 0600. Will follow the "Garmin" to Bi-Mart in Washougal and should be pulling in at 0850."

Maybe I'm thinking a bit ideally, I don't know. But, it sure sounds good in my mind, ha ha. I'm also not a fan of Facebook-I like my friends and new friends to be tangible, not virtual.

Ok, any thoughts from the rest of you....or, am I speaking out of turn?

That would be cool, but the fact that this is only a KLX forum limits your potential riding buddies. If you see that someone on here is from your area shoot them a PM. I think you are lucky and have a few guys in your area. A lot of people also use the Adventure Rider forum to find local riding buddies. They have regional forums on there. Hey, if you go make sure you take pics and post them up

Alrighty! Now we're getting somewhere. I was ignorant to the Adventure Rider forum until now. I shall take a look. Thanks!
