I'd use some emory cloth on the journal surfaces to clean them up-don't go crazy trying to get a mirror surface, just take off any rough spots. Same goes for the bearing surfaces on the head and cam retainer. The wear is not unusual-I would run it. I would also pull the valves and take a look at the seats for signs of wear and check guides for any excessive clearance.

Seems like good, legitemite bikehead guy.

Just bought it. Now what to do about the worn cams? Can they be fixed? I know webcams will weld and regrind a new profile. Can they do the same to fix these. Really don't want them modded just fixed.

Nevermind. Found the cams that came out of the head I bought on ebay also. $600 total for everything. Guess its time to order the 351 kit now.
