Default Rejetting and exhaust

I am new to the forum and have found some great information on how to improve my KLX250s's performance but have a couple of questions. I ordered the 13 sproket Sun Star 34213 and am considering my other options. Are there kits that I can buy with the right size jets and all otheritems needed for that mod, and for that matter what are the right size jets? Is a different exhaust needed or will the stock one do with rejetting?

Thanks

Pete

Welcome, The dynojet kit for the klx300 works. The stock exhaust works fine, but of course an aftermarket full system, or just a slip on will help out a ton... I have a full exhaust im running 128 main jet, and stock pilot jet, and the air fuel screw 2.5 turns out and no snorkel in the airbox lid.... with the stock exhaust go with a lower main jet, maybe 122 ish.

Thanks Eric , I will look up the Dynojet kit. When you mention a slip on exhaust is that a partial and who might make it.

Thanks,

Pete

a bunch of manufacturers make slip ons, and yes, that is keeping the stock head pipe and replacing just the muffler... two bros, HMF, FMF, and the list goes on....

Welcome aboard. Lots of good info on this board about the KLX. The search feature is a good start as exhaust and jetting are two topics that have been kicked around for a long time.

welcome..I don't have a slip-on, but I believe if you go slip on that you will actually order two pieces #1 muffler and #2 mid-pipe...also a couple of us have drilled the stock exhaust and it seems pretty ok as well..I did it for cost reasons, but would love to go slip-on at some point.

again welcome aboard
