DID IT! Thanks to all of you for your helpful guidance. Actually I just did the rear and will do the front this morning. The rear went smoothly by just remembering the steps, even spooning the new tire on. I'm putting IRC GP-1's on front and rear. The OEM Dunlops have about 3750 miles put on since March, 50/50 gravel/pavement. The rear is down to about 2-3 mm in center with more on sides, mostly cause I don't air down much I guess. The front has a little life left but is close enough, why push it. I'll post a tire review once I get a few hundred miles on them. Dan 888, I also got a lot out of that particular video.
The whole experience kinda reminds me of another "first time" concern I had with another activity many decades ago. That turned out to be pretty straightforward as well, although a lot more fun to do often. I don't think changing tires will replace that activity but at least I won't be concerned about getting it done.
