Front wheel removal
Actually, this may have been posted in the wrong part of the forum, and if so i apologize to the moderators.
I'm polishing my frame and rims on my 99 ZX6R, the rear wheel came of very easily, however, i've called the front wheel about every name in the book because it's being very stubborn. I removed the four bolts at the bottom of the forks, but at this point, i cannot determine what else i need to do to get the darn thing off. I imagine it's pretty simple, but my frustration got the best of me. I'm normally not an idiot, again...normally, but as of right now, if feel like it. SO any help would be appreciated.

RE: Front wheel removal
The axle can be pretty tight. You'll need either a 19mm or 22mm (I can't remember which) hex to loosen the front axel, it actually screws together (like the rear). The four small screws at the bottom of the fork are there to ensure that the axel iteself doesn work loose. Sometimes an impact wrench with a set of hex sockets works well to break loose stubborn bolts and such.

RE: Front wheel removal
here is how to remove it. go to a hardware store and buy a bolt and 2 nuts for that bolt. now the head of the bolt must fit into one side of the axel. on the trees there are 2 pinch bolts on the bottom of each fork. only lossen the side in which your inserting the bolt. with the head of the bolt in the axel, screw on the 2 nuts together and using the double nut technique, twist the bolt to loosen the axel. once you have the axel unbolted, it will slide right out.
