Rear wheel centered?
I agree, unless your wheel it not pointed straight, and the chain isn't isn't at an angle inward causing sprocket wear don't worry about it. It could be a Kawasaki design with the sf wheel spacers to eliminate chain rub.

As far as my chain, it's been raining all day today, and I can't post a picture. But I'm almost certain there's enough slack.
When I was cleaning it, I did notice some tight spots at specific areas of the chain. And if I bump the chain quickly, it makes a kind of chatter. The same kind of chatter that's far more loud when I'm riding down the road. It increases with speed.
Perhaps it's just the chain itself...
I'll examine the front sprocket when it stops raining/tomorrow.
