Default Rear disk rotor - 240mm?

2018 KLX250. Got a rotor but it's too small. Looks like I got a 220mm but I need a 240mm. Is that correct? Any other models share the same part (KX250)?

Thanks!

From 09 up. If you want to use the smaller rotor get the carrier from an 08 or older 250/300. I am running the smaller 220mm rotor on my 09 with the proper carrier, because the 240 is too powerful for my preference off pavement.

2018 and 2007 use the same Tusk pads and the same Tusk rebuild kit for the caliper, so it appears only the bracket is different.

I had a small aftermarket rotor on the back of my 09 and the pads were high off the outer edge of the rotor. Took it off and got another rotor, the earlier 220 rotor, and made a deal with another rider who had a 240 rotor on the back of his earlier model and needed the bigger caliper carrier and a cam chain tensioner, so we worked a deal. I got his earlier caliper and carrier, unbolted his caliper and mine swapping them. Worked perfect.

Nice side benefit - my 300 rear rotor matched the 300 rotor on the front. It had been swapped out before I got the bike. Never had the petal cut Kawasaki rotors it was supposed to have, but no problems, they're thicker and heavier than the 300 rotors, plus I got a back up front rotor for $20 on ebay. Seems they're way less costly than the OEM petal cut ones.

So now I have a more controllable rear brake when on loose surfaces.

Got the whole rear brake set from an '07 bike. Used the bracket only. Perfect fit.
