did you try the rear caliper carrier with the late model swing arm? I have a smaller rotor on the back of my 09 and I wonder if the 07 caliper carrier would work with it. If I have the choice I want to stay with the smaller rotor.

I didn't try to physically fit it, but looking at it and comparing the two, I'm quite sure that it's not going to fit.

I have an 07 klx with an 09 rear brake disk and galiper and it work fine without any modification.
I can't confirm with the 07 rear brake on the 09 klx but it will most likely work if you have the 07 disk too.

Did you bolt the 09 caliper up to the 07 carrier and what the diameter is of your rotor?

If the difference to fit the rotor is in the caliper I may want to work a deal on the one the OP has.

I took every thing from the 09, disk rotor, caliper and the carrier arm.

I just want to be perfectly clear. You are saying you have the 09 caliper and carrier bolted up to the 07 swing arm with the 07 wheel. That would indicate that your 07 parts would bolt up to the 09.

If so I am now interested in the OP's parts.

Here's some side by side picture, the black one is from 2009 and the silver one is from 2007.
They are almost the same but the 07 need the 220mm disc brake rotor and the 2009 need the 240mm disc brake rotor.
You can see on the last picture the 2009 brake pad not well align with the 2007 220mm disc brake rotor.
I don't have the picture but the 240mm disc is a direct bolt on the 2007 wheel and it aligns perfectly with the pad.
