You can tell I have never worked with a speedometer before. I realized all of this and my mistakes now....................... I thought even though it was electric there was still a mechanical side to it and the reading end on the tire or what ever ......

I'm going to sit facing the corner now......

right you are. didn't think about that. Noise I had wasn't really a whistle either, but seemed to be coming from right front around the speedo housing - lubed it and it stopped. Not sure how lube would fix a whistle from the pick up, but if it worked for red - worth trying.

Don't know if this is the noise you are hearing but try putting a thin coat of oil where you seat attaches to your gas tank and see if that makes the noise go away....

Sounds like something loosened up. Re-check your work for anything that you may have forgotten to tighten. Also check the bolts for the plastics, tank, and seat.

Thanks for the help guys. It's all worth a try really.

It's not even that bad and I notice this morning riding that it's a squeak more then anything else and it show's up on the right front side of the bike(I think lol). When I'm going around 25km/h it starts to squeak consistently then stops for a second then starts again when I start slowing down to stop. I don't think it's the brakes because it happens even when I don't use them to slow down.

did you spray the speedo pick up? just blast the whole thing with wd 40 no need to take anything apart.

I did on the outside of it (between the housing of it and the right fork) but didn't notice any change.
