Random complaints about Honda and Suzuki
Wanted to take a minute to post some rants about other manufacturers. Before pruchasing my 636, I owned a Honda F4i and took it in to the shop to have the cam chain tensioner replaced as the bike was making a horrible buzzing/rattling noise between 3000 and 5000 rpm. I checked on a Honda message board and found that it was a common problem with the bike and that Honda wouldn't issue a recall on the part as it would not cause "serious engine damge". Well, over the next 2 years, I replaced the cam tensioner 4 more times in 5000 miles. I then stopped over at my dad's house this weekend (he owns a Suzuki SV 650) and my dad asked me to listen to his bike as it was making some strange sounds. I listened and it sounded the same as when the cam tensioner failed on my bike. So I jump on some Suzuki forums and do some research. I find out that Suzuki owners have had lots of problems with cam tensioners going bad and Suzuki will not issue a recall on the bike because the problem will not cause engine failure. Makes you wonder. Also, I'm very happy with my 636-best bike I've ever owned.

When I was looking for a bike, I checked out the Suzuki GS500. Nice looking bike, but the Ninja 500 seemed to be the better bike. More HP, adjustable levers, centre stand, etc. Kawi rules!!!!!!!

all that about the honda and you didnt even mention the seat and the goldwing like position your sitting in. lol i could care less, i got what i like and wanted.

You guys prolly wont belaive this, but as some of you know this is my first bike and also my first to the sport. I didnt or dont know anything about this sport while purchasing the 10r till after I bought it..... At first I was looking at getting a gsxr 1000 or Honda 1000rr, but my friend talked me into getting the kawasaki..... whitch I am greatfull for now... I love this bike it has been one of the best debts I've been in lmao.... Not to metion if I had not gotten this bike I would have never meet the coolest people on line, my KF family.
