I found this link helpful. It appears to be a good quality "cage" around our vulnerable radiators.

(Just have to say that this whole thing is amazing, talking about the same bike in different locations all over the world. Kind of a mind bender. Enough of my hippie thoughts, back to radiators!)
Yes, forums like this can be pretty mindexpanding at times. Imagine my surprise at buying handmade knives in Japan! Even more amazing, I don't read or write any of the Asian languages but, I managed to buy some really nice knives anyway. Then there is the Dutch beer, Italian candies, .... [8D]

I heard back from Brian today. He said that he really was wanting to get these done before the end of this month and that he was currently checking with a couple of dealerships to see if they had a 250 available, and if not he would take me up on my offer. He only needs my bike a couple of days.
So it looks like these will be available in the very near future.

I'll keep you posted.

Good news! I just got off the phone with Brian at Unibiker and he is anxious to get started. So I am taking my bike over to him in the morning and he will be getting started on the design and fab of our guards.
He said that based on what he has seen of the KLX that he thought that our guards would be very similar to the KLX 450. They are 2 piece units that feature a reinforced rear brace that bolts to a front face guard.

They look good to me so while I'm there I'm going to get a set for the KX250F (black anodized)

With a little luck you guys will be able to purchase these as soon as next week!

Pilot, thanks for being the point man on this thing. This happened a lot faster than I thought possible! His guards look really nice. If you get a chance to ask him see if he's going to be offering anodized on ours. I live right by the ocean so metals take a beating here. Black or Gold would look great out of his color options.

Also if you fancy yourself a savvy buyer ask him about a group buy/discount for us. I think I've counted about ten guys on here that would probably move on these things. Maybe more. I know some of the fabricators out there issue a code to use for anyone out a forum to buy there product and incorage sales.

I've been talking to him about a group buy. I am willing to be the group buy person if he doesn't have a dealer step up and do it. I don't have firm pricing yet but, if we get 10 firm commitments it is a worthwhile discount. He needs to make a few test sets first before there is any commitment on price.

Best Regards,
Sid
