Default A quick ride at Pachaug

Went out this morning, it was clear and reasonable tempatures out, figured it was a good day to rake some leaves up and tidy up the yard.

Wait, what?

After about, oh, 10-15 minutes, The KLX was beckoning me, I could see it hiding in the garage, hhmm, maybe the leaves can wait, um, no, gotta get the yard cleaned up, wont be long before. . . . . . .

Fahk it, the dam leaves can wait, Im goin riding !!
Figured I would head out to Pachaug State Park, just over the line in Connecticut, see how much of the 60 mile loop I remember

Oh yea, its calling me out there, LETS GO

Its a pretty well marked loop, and I was in no hurry, just trying to relax and have a little fun

The trails are looking a bit wet, hhmm

In fact, its gonna be a sloppy ride

I keep slogging along, its kinda nice out here, temps are in the low 60's, and I am just motoring along, kind slow and steady. Every time I see a big puddle, I have visions of me being buried in a puddle, with the KLX swamped, get on them pegs and ride it !!

Based on the GPS, its "just" another of the swamps along the loop

This one WAS deep, and I couldnt see the end of it, whatta ya gonna do though? Turn around? Doubt it! Just go !!

HA! Made it !! That sh*t was deep man, and now my feet are wet, stupid boots!!

This one was deep, and the water was moving right along in there, and it sure looked slippery, aaahhh Fahk it, just go

After that stuff, I ended up on the connector road in the state park, time to wick it up a bit, work on the power slides and try not to **** off the hunter dudes, I mean, afterall, they do have guns, and are good at stalking there prey. . . . .

Blasted my way around a bit on the forest roads, decided this wasnt for me to attempt single handedly

Wicked pissa, thats a bog and a half in there, yea, Im heading the other way

Stopped for a powerbar break, and to see what time it was, Hey look its almost 20 past 4 DAM, better go

I dont know what pisses me off more, the batteries going dead in the Ipod, or the camera, or both, at the same freakin time. WTF.

Looks like it was a blast! It's nice to get a good ride in late in the season!

Sweeeet! That's the same parking lot we go to too when we go to Pachaug.

Next year let me know when you're going, I'll meet you over there!

Heck yeah, 42, sure beats yard work. I bet if you did a survey of yards of people who own motorcycles vs those who don't, which yards would look like unmaintained vacant lots?
