quick kickstart question

I have left the ignition on out in the middle of nowhere , ran the battery down , and bump started it.

I'd make a set of motorcycle jumper cables and pocket the difference. Unless you ride alone and can't bump start a bike, I'd skip the kicker and get some wire. I've got 45,000 on a 650 and have only needed jumped like twice. Once after school on a sub-freezing day with a weak battery (I knew it and shouldn't have ridden that day). The other time was after the bike sat for too long and I ran the battery down trying to start it. The fuel in the tank was bad, not lighting off too well. Always remember to park the bike with a full tank if it will sit for more than a month.
