Default quick double check

Getting the 09 klx 250 outa the garage in two weeks. It's basically spring. Anyhow, i'm ordering a bunch of stuff.... tires and filter. Anyhow i figure it's about time to jet the bike. Placing my order with RM ATV. They offer a dyno jet kit. The bike has the stock muffler still, uni filter, planning on getting a kdx snorkel..... Where's the best place to get the snorkel. My main concern with the dyno jet kit is it doesn't have a pilot jet. Do I need to replace the pilot jet. I'm at sea level. Also plan to drill the starter jet #77.

No, you don't need to touch the pilot jet.

If you haven't already done so, you will have to gain access to the pilot screw to adjust the idle mixture.

my plan is to just follow the instructions, just making sure all that I need is in this kit.

There is a cap over the air fuel screw. You have to remove it to adjust it, and it needs adjusted. The KDX snorkel is a waste. I have one sittin in a box. I just took the snorkel out all together.

I understand the fuel screw part of it so it should be simple and straight forward. Lots of debate about the snorkel tho. I wonder what the air flow rate difference would be with the kdx or just removing the snorkel.

jetted without the snorkel....i was getting uncomfortable vibrations on my crotch (girls might like it)...i use my klx250sf for high speed/high rpm long distance commutes...installed a kdx snorkel and problem solved....and, bike was still running smooth with the same configurations...that's only difference i can tell...it's quieter and less vibrations with the kdx snorkel..power wise?...i couldn't tell...

I took my stock snorkel out for a day and hated it. My bike was louder and vibrated more. I put in a KDX snorkel and have been very happy with it. I'm getting more air in without the noise or vibration.
