A couple questions:

How did you, or would you, secure the stainless steel front brake line to keep it secure so it doesn't rub on the wheel? I think some have attached it to the plastic fork with zip ties. Are there better ways?



I have the Acerbis 3.7-gallon tank at Unabiker rad guards. The guards rubbed the tank a little. I was thinking of gluing some sacrificial plastic material to the tank at the rub spots and removing some guard material at the one bad spot.





The guard took a hit or two as it's a little bent.



Here's what it looks like without the guard's frame in place (right side). You can see the tabs from the stock radiator for attaching plastics.



Here's the guard's frame which sticks out a little further than the stock rad tabs shown above (left side). The guard frame just barely touched the tank on both sides. The tank was protected this past year with a folded piece of cardboard slid between the tank and guard on both sides.

 

Try mounting the s.s. line similar to how the 09 klx250s routes the line, on the inside of the fork leg next to the tire. Very similar to other motocross dirtbikes routing.

Using zipties drilled through the fork guard are an easy remedy.

Tank chaffing needs an thin aluminum piece double stick taped to protect the area needed. Just one idea, there are many ways for sure.....

 

I did both of those things. The brake cable wraps between the left fork tube and the tire, I tie wrapped it to the fork protector and also to the speedo wire that comes from my vapour.
I used the stock guide at the bottom triple clamp.
I got some abs plastic at the plastic shop and laminated it to the tank where the rad shroud rubs. I think hte strips of plastic are about 2 inches wide and six inches long and around 1/8th thick. I think I used spray on contact cement.
