also, just because it's at "T" doesn't mean it's at TDC...you have to stand up and visually inspect it and sometimes takes a few rotations to be be at TDC...

Rotate the crank 360 degrees (one revolution) and re-measure. I can't believe there is absolutely no clearance.

For a valve clearance check, you want the motor at the TDC where the lobes of both cams are up(ish) and pointing away from the other cam.

Good info on the T location and where TDC actually is located.

Spun the crank a few times and watched the lobe alignment themselves. The T is actually just a tiny smidge before the beginning of the notch - but my measured clearances remain the same.

Can anyone verify this for me as the correct shim kit:
Hot Cams 7.48mm Complete Valve Shim Kit HCSHIM01

Thanks all.

Thats the right kit, $80 shipped from the U.S and only used 1 shim.

Default Just to close the loop

Have the 330 kit installed and had a few rides. Valves adjusted as well.

Great little performance upgrade. Pulls better everywhere and now has a kick between 5500 and 8000 RPM. Did require a main jet change from DJ128 to DJ 132 to supply enough gas after 7500 RPM.

Thanks to everyone for their insights and advice.

Hey Elvie, what other mods, such as intake and exhaust have you done. I have just completed my KK 331 instalation on an EFI bike and am experiencing huge changes to my jetting. I went from 300 to 331 and have had to change jetting across the whole range. ( Electronic mapping changes)
I experienced a substantial power boost with the extra cc, however this may also be due to the Webcams that I did at the same time.

Other upgrades have included a full Muzzy exhaust, BB block off plate, air box lid removed and an aftermarket air filter - and of course the DynoJet Stage 2 with a switch to the 132 main jet. Otherwise the carb settings are fine.
