Sorry, don't mean to dredge an old thread, but this genuinely interests me.

If I were to look on ebay for old throttle assemblys to do this mod, what bikes in particular should be looking for?

I just really don't know much about these push pull systems, and what sort of traditional ones will be compatible with it.

I'm not sure which OEM throttles will work, but you can get pretty much any Motion Pro throttle to do the job. Mine is a Magura 314 - http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/...pull_throttle/. You can use the stock throttle cable with this throttle without problem, and it has 2 ratios - MX and Enduro. The MX ration is a pure 1/4-turn, while the Enduro is about a 3/8-turn. All you need to do is turn the throttle tube 180 degrees and reconnect the throttle cable to change ratios.

With any of the pulley-type throttles, you have to rotate the throttle to clear the right mirror, but otherwise, it's a straight bolt-on. Here's mine:

In the pic, it has a Four Stroke Works cable on it which I could only get adjusted by turning everything completely out. I put the stock cable back on and all was well.

Dang, I was looking for OEM throttles because they're like 2 or 3 bucks a pop on Ebay

Anybody else have any idea which OEM throttles will fit on? I'd love to invest in either a Vortex, Turbo, or Magura throttle, but 40 bucks for a throttle system? No thanks.

Thankyou

What is the advantage of the 1/2 turn throttle when you're in the trails? I noticed that most 3/8 or 1/2 turns are labeled as "enduro" throttles, and i'm wondering if that 1/4 turn would be a burden in the trails.
