Default RE: Pro Circuit T4 slip on muffler.

Ahhh good, another exhaust thread debate. Only this time we have the two stroke vs. four stroke argument mixed in. Hopefully we can sprinkle in some religion and politics before we're done here to really open this up.

But I want to first jump in on the two stroke/four stroke thingy. My son's air cooled 4 stroke CRF150F is 'bullet proof' and will require very little maintenance over the life of the bike. That's not the case with these 'new fangled' four strokes. Two strokes are lighter, quicker, easier to maintain and rebuild, and cheaper to do so when needed. But the rub is that they burn oil with the gas and are a percievedthreat to Bambi and the permafrost in Russia.

In my opinion the latest 4 stroke 'craze' is a result of politicians artificially steering the marketwith punitive legislation and regulation while trying to kill our sport. The 'new fangled' 4 stroke race bikesare superior to the 2 strokes in one area... emissions. And that still isn't good enough in some states. Hello Red Sticker categorization for the CRF450X in California. My dad has a gas guzzling Kawasaki Vulcan 2000. That's ok, but the single piston CRFX is a problem. OH yeah... happy belated earth day.

I did some digging and the KDX220R and the mighty KX500 as current models in Brazil. Take a trip down south or get one shipped up. They gotta be cheap.
ORIGINAL: 09KLXowner

I'm jealous of you guys' KLX's breathing abilities.[&o] I'm surprised no one has tried to install a 300R airbox to their 250S to bring in more air.
I didn't even realize Kawi still produced the 500 monster. I wonder what 60 rwhp feels like when that powerband kicks in?[:-]
And people think 450's and 510's are powerful. Nah, they'd feel like the KLX250 when getting off that KX500 I'm bettin'. That dealership looks friggin awesome!!
