LOL!...yep, that's the ticket. Have you seen the Borla aftermarket FI system that looks like the old Hilborn injector system like you're describing? Pretty cool.

I still subscribe to Hot Rod in spite of never actually having anything remotely like a hot street car. I do it for the articles... and pictures.

I like that they still have "how-to" articles, something the motorcycle industry shied away from. Plus the pictures... old school look injectors with EFI innards. Love it!

I finally understood the cam timing tricks of the MCM when I read the Hot Rod article about the valve overlap... plus the pictures!

The increased overlap aspect of the MCM is what keeps the mod from creating a "tractor" powerband.. It extends the TRQ curve high enough so as to not have any "serious" effects on top end power..

We all got real lucky that such a simple mod works so well.. The stock cams' design had to be "just right" to allow a good result from a simple retime.
