MOrdered a 50w headlight for this one unknowingly... that this will need a $175. stator rewind. But 110w output to play with
If I had my klx I bet I could trim enough of the oem reflector inside the stock headlight housing. But I can’t see how far back/ how much room the heat sink needs behind the black led light bezel on that sport led set up. I haven’t seen any side shots of it yet
This OPT7 H4 is great. Took a while to wrestle all the wires to one side and maybe 4 zip ties to keep everything away from the heat sink. And I had to slip that rubber boot off entirely cause no way will it fit over that heat sink that sticks out back of the housing. Took a 30 mile night ride and only used the high beams on a deeply wooded road with no lighting… it showed me the road on both sides of the bike, easily 40 yards down the road and up into the trees. Super glad I spent this $60.
I stopped to adjust it down cause it was right in the rear window of any car unfortunate enough to be in front of me at a light. I finally started pointing the headlight to the side, just to not be a deck on a bike ruining everyone’s night vision. This is a good cheap fix that took me (a complete newcomer to bike mechanics) about two hours. Anyone with skill could have it done in half that.

I have that same bulb on my bike and yes it’s way better than even a PIAA I had on there.. it’s a good upgrade... I also added some 2” spots on the side
I do daytime riding and this helps being seen a lot... I did take it out at night and with 3 lights it’s soiooo much brighter.... easy install on the headlight bulb and a big Recommended difference
If you want a plug and play bulb, this one fits in my , just be sure to follow the instructions included and unscrew the base of the LED bulb so that it fits inside the stock housing.
Dragon... I made some mounts and attached them to the sides of my front cowl on the sides of my headlight
they are just some Amazon China cheapos.. but really work good.. happy with them... I did wire them really good tho/ fuse/ relay/ switch
