oil change
#12
I just picked up a Wix oil filter today that I had O'Reilly's order. I looked the part number up on the Wix website.
For the 2009 the website lists 57932. This is the one I got. I am getting ready to do my first oil change, so I do not have the stock one out to compare yet.

So far the parts for these bikes are wierd. The Dynojet kits have different numbers, the FMF exhaust systems have different numbers... seems wierd that the parts do not change yet the manufacturers are coming up with different part numbers for 06-07 and the 09s.

well i pulled the filter out first thing this morning, and the dealer was correct about my bike, the filter is the wix equivalent to 24944. the only thing i can think of is that the wix/orielly's listings are for the fuel injected bike maybe? anyone done a change on a fuelly?

Nope... not yet. Will do it tomorrow when I can take it for a ride to warm up the oil to drain it.
Put on the FMF PowerBomb header and Q4 slip-on today. Has to sit overnight for the high-temp RTV to cure before I can ride it. (FMF has a tight fit junction between header and slip-on and seals with RTV).

Okay here is the answer. The Wix 57932 that OReillys gave me and that the Wix website says is for the 2009 is DIFFERENT!
See pic attached. The one on the left is the Wix 57932, the right is stock.
Back to the store to get the correct one. Will get the 24944.
