Off Road Wheels for KLX250SF?
so is this a dead thread or what? i reckoned a compatible tire sticky would get more feedback and opinions, especially when someone posts a tire that hasn't been mentioned or posted before.....
my sources say the Kenda 784 will fit, and its a pretty cool looking tire... if you take half a second to click the link.....
not looking for affirmation of existence, just a second opinion from someone who has seen one in action or run one on the klx before

yarg the 784 is not available in a 17" front, you are correct. I was intending to run the 784 on the rear and leave my shinko 244 up front, for better gravel handling etc.
I'm running Shinko 244's front and back at the moment, IMO they are just cheaper kenda 270's... That being said the rear cuts loose in the rain wayy too easy and its getting close to replacement time anyway
I'm having a really hard time choosing new tires... A huge part of me just wants the diablo rosso's.....
I have a problem

Finally got around to buy the shinko 244 tires. I went with the 3.0 front and the 4.6 rear. No rubs at all and they slipped onto the bike without trouble. On the road you can hear a distinct dirt tire hum, like running a beefy mud tire on a truck. The handling is better than I thought. While there is that occasional squishy feel from the knobbies, it didn't decrease my street riding confidence much compared to the street tires. Don't get me wrong they aren't as confidence inspiring as the street tires but i was able to push them enough to drag my toe hanging off the peg. Personally I never pushed the street tires past that same point anyways. I had them up to 75mph and the bike felt exactly the same as the street tires did at that speed. On the gravel road the bike is finally where I wanted it all along. You can cruise without the bike sliding or washing out. In the single track, and up some grades it grabbed nicely. Are they as good as a true knobby? Probably not, but they send the bike light years ahead when doing some trail riding compared to stock 250sf tires and the street performance is better than i had expected.
Now saving for a BB351 kit. Then I think i will have the perfect bike!
