Default Off road helmet (SHOEI VFX-W) at "street" speed?

I need a third helmet. My 3/4 helmet just isn't good enough in technical terrain. My full face helmet isn't going into difficult off-road conditions except for short stretches when I need to get around street traffic (crashes, blocked intersections, etc.)

I'm looking at a SHOEI VFX-W model. The visor looks really good at blocking the sun which spoils my vision in the shadows so, I'm looking forward to that. However, how much of an issue will this be at high speed (generally 45MPH but, stretches of 55 to 65MPH)?

This helmet will not be used for normal street riding but, my commute one-way to the good riding areas is 45 to 60 miles with most of the mileage in 45MPH or 55MPH zones. Will a "head check" put excessive stress on my neck?
