Default Off road/adventure school?

Hey all. Is there an easy way to find these types of schools. Riding off road is new to me and most schools seem to be on a dirt track, whcih isn't what I'm looking for. In Charlotte, NC, but open to a road trip for a great, reasonably priced place. Thanks!

Wow, I've never thot about what it'd be like to ride offroad without years, decades, ( or over half a century in my case) of single track experience.. I am remembering all the damage I did to bikes and myself, while "learning the ropes" and the "rules of the road" with different terrains and obstacles and bikes.. Think about it ( you old offroaders) , a bikes' power, weight, tires, and suspension all combine to create an "envelope" of capabilities on a given terrain - ride it within its' envelope and you good.. Picking lines and angles that let me ride fast within a given bikes' capability comes naturally to me - but wouldn't to a newbie..

I mean like, how would a newbie know that his/her bike will not casually traverse a certain size tree root that has a certain diagonal angle to the direction of travel ? Make it a wet tree root and the ballgame changes again.. How would a newbie have any idea how to pick a line thru a rock garden ?

@bmart , you've got a lot exciting times ahead - gaining offroad skills.. Whatever you do, put the most aggressive offroad tires you can find on your bike - only highly skilled offroaders can ride heavy, slick tire'd dual sports on single track - and it ain't fun doing so..

You may have aggrandized what I'm doing or likely to do. No roots, single track, etc. These are more like service and forest roads. Just something to maintain some skills during the track off season. It isn't easy staying in front of newer equipment on a very old 600!

More like
. Feel free to poke around the site. I'd enjoy feedback. It is so very different than track days!

My thots were general - not directed at you. Riding dirt roads is not a problem for the uninitiated..

I am 100% aware of my lack of skill off road. lol

Really enjoying these; the best I've found so far. She is elegant in execution with low energy and finesse. She also speaks well and is clear in her instruction.

I’m not sure I could deal with the guy’s arrogant attitude. That being said, he is a very accomplished rider and have heard his riding school is fantastic.

Note, I am not affiliated with him in any way.
