I hear chewing gum keeps the dust down in your mouth. Having a Camel Back lets you stay hydrated when you can sip a little on the straight stretches, but its hard to take time to drink when you are flying down a trail

........ did ya need a refill or did ya make it on one tank...... thats real close from my experience, especially in tight sugar sand trails..... I bet the next time you hit sand you'll rip!!!
there was a gas stop at mile 42. i added a little over a gallon at that point i think.
i did have a camelback , but i drank to much in the begining and ran out eventually. the gum thing is a good idea.
i'm loading pics now. hopefully they'll be up in a hour or so
