Default New Throttle and Pegs for an 09?

I am sprucing up my 09 that I got about a month ago and am having a blast learning as much as I can from you guys.

I'd like a better throttle response: The cable tightener thingy that goes into the throttle assembly is broken; is this a good opportunity for an upgrade?

Also, what are some good inexpensive pegs that I can upgrade? Id like something wider.

Thanks!

I think most of us here have gone to Motion Pro options for the throttle, but I think...at least in my case and some others...a lot of us do away with the return/push cable setup.

On the throttle response issue, some like a quicker ratio throttle tube and some like a more standard pull ratio. With a pumper carb I like a more standard pull ratio, but this can be a preferential issue.

With the OEM CV carb, throttle response is naturally slower, so a quick pull ratio can be a good choice for many.

So can I remove the return cable? It doesn't seem to do much at all.

And what version of the Motion Pro do you recommend?

Thanks

I looked at my MP paperwork, and it appears they don't offer mine anymore, P/N 01-0057. Mine is called a "Turbo", and it looks just like P/N 01-0089 which is a Turbo. You realize you'll also need a pull cable. I can't give exact data on that because I'm running the 36mm pumper and the CVK may be a little different for length...but maybe not. I used my OEM pull cable on my 36 for awhile in the OEM housing. It was a little short, but it worked until is got stiff and knotchy. You'll need a MP cable compatible with the new throttle. I know some here have ordered the MP cable for the CVK and will have the right length.
