Chris,

My emails to you keep coming back undeliverable.

Please put me on the skip plate list.

rc,

Will do on adding you to the list.

As for the returned emails, that is strange. I have received both PMs and regular emails from folks on this forum in the last week, so I am not sure what is going on.

If you have been trying to send regular emails, you might give a try with a PM. If you are not familiar with that, it is a Private Message that stays within the domain of this forum. It going directly into my forum Inbox instead of a regular email system. The procedure is pretty much the same as for email. There are several ways to email and several ways to PM. Without going through every one of each, I can just say that whatever button or icon that you are clicking in order to email, there is probably a button or icon nearby that is labelled "PM". If you click this, it is very self explanatory.

Hope I am not insulting your intelligence here, but there are many people that don't use the PM system.

One way or another, I am going to need to get your email address. That is the only way for the guys as USC to get you the discount code.

Chris,
The same thing happened to me when I tried to email you about the skid plate. Then I saw the PM button and no problem.

Hmmm. Guess I need to take a look at which email account I have setup here. Thanks for the additional input, mmatz.

UPDATE - not sure what's going on. I checked my email and it looks like one of my valid addresses. I have received email from a few folks on this board recently, so it's a bit of a mystery. Oh well, I guess PM is the way to go with this.

>>>> MOVED FROM ORIGINAL LOCATION - I WILL KEEP MOVING THIS POST TO SOMEWHERE NEAR THE END OF THE THREAD TO AID IN PEOPLE KEEPING TRACK OF THE PROGRESS OF THE GROWING LIST <<<<

Just to make sure that there is no confusion, I thought it might be helpful to list the screen names of everyone on the "confirmed buy" list. I hope no one minds me doing it this way, but this is the only way that I can think to communicate to each person that they are on the list.

If you have provided me with your info and are not listed here, then that means somehow your message did not come through. I have had that happen before with PMs on this forum, so this is not completely out of the question.

I will keep the list up-to-date as I receive new requests. As you can see, we have already met the 10 order hurdle to get the 15% discount.

Anyway, here is the list as of right now:

Hi guys, thanks for your patience. Here's some photos of my new prototype. From the photos its a kind of hard to tell the difference, but i was able to reduce the gap between the ears and the bike to about 3/8" which is usually what we shoot for. I also widened the plate to give better coverage to the water pump. I did play around with the cutout ear design as shown in the posted picture but there was just no way to use this design and keep the plate from possibly interfering with braking. I understand why you guys like this design and i realise that it would be very unlikely that it would cause a problem, but when designing a plate for production we have to cover all bases especially when it could result in legal liability. As far as the exposed frame that cause some concern to some of you i can offer an you an option. For future prodution we will use the design as seen below for the reasons listed in my previous post, but for those of you on this forum who wish to completely protect the frame i can make a small easy modification to the program to bring the plate over the welds. It will leave a slight gap between the plate and frame but should still mount solidly. Just shoot me an e-mail (michaelgibbs@utahsportcycle.com) when you order the plate and let me know if you would like this modification. Also from reading your opinions on drainage holes it seems like the best way to go is to only include the hole allowing oil drain access and you can add any other holes you wish on your own. I still have the bike until the end of the day so if anyone can think of anything else let me know. Thanks again for all your help.

Awesome, Mike.

I am sure that the question on most folks minds is when are you planning to go into production. As soon as you are ready, I will send you the list of email addresses.
