I am the proud owner of a 2009 KLX250S. I've had it about 6 weeks. I bought it used with a little over 400 miles on it. Paid $2800 for it. It come with a FMF muffler already installed. I'll be working on it this winter, jet kit, 13 tooth, foam air filter, and a few other things. This forum seems to be the best place to learn about my bike. I am a 58 year old man, and this is my first bike. I didn't get a chance to ride it much before it got to cold. This morning here in Wisconsin it's 10 degrees below zero.

Yikes! 10° below!

Just to make you absolutely miserable, it was about 80° here yesterday.

Too bad i'm a wage slave.

I live just outside of the little town of Plainfield. Ever hear of Ed Gein, maybe 3 miles from where he lived. Pretty sad that's what we are known for. We just got about 12-14 inches of snow dumped on us. The earliest I can think about taking the bike out is late March. It gives me plenty of time to do the mods that I want to though. Not much of a mechanic, but I am gonna try to get the carb off and rejet and do the new needle valve. I will be looking for alot of advise I am sure. Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Had to Google Ed, I know the story, but didn't know the name, or the town. !!!!
I get up that way once in a while, I have a brother that lives in Marshfield (works in Stevens Point).
There are some good trails in Clark Co , ATV trails that don't allow dirt bikes, but do allow licensed motorcycles. Knobby Ridge is a motorcycle park over that way too. Just west of Neilsville I think. Fun stuff.
