Default New KLX, What to do... what to do...

Hi All, I've got a 09 KLX 250, bought it from a dealer stock standard everything. Once its broken in, and the 1 year warrantee is about expired, I'm planning on starting the mods. So I can budget for it (good things take time) what would you guys recommend as the first few things to do it? (looking at primarily higher speed)

How does 6th gear feel at highway speeds with your weight? If 6th is a little sluggish, drop the front sprocket down to a 13. Jetting and a decent pipe along with more air into the engine will help. Oh and in case I didn't tell you yet, welcome to the forums.

What do you mean jetting and a pip? and yup, got a formal welcome in the introductions thread.

6th gear feels limited by the time I get to the speed limit.. room to move before the red line, but the throttle is almost full.

Get the carb jetted with bigger jets and get a full pipe for performance. Moe air in, more air out and more fuel its simple science.

lol Yeah I just installed my Dynojet 124 main jet and removed my airbox snorkel. Notice a big differance even with the stock exhaust... But once I do the pipe its off to another bigger jet and hopefully she will scream
