It wasn't bad. Just need to know how to use a manual de-compression lever + proper jetting. It would start in one or two kicks. With 13.5 to one compression it would shove your knee in your face if you weren’t careful.

you can take the cam tensioner out...push it all the way back in...install it back and it should auto reset...

How often should I do this....?

Actually, I`ll read the posts regarding the tensioner.
