Default needle jet

Hi All,
It's been ages since I have been here, there just dosen't seem to be enough hours in the day.
Anyway, I have been tinkering with the bill blue carby and have been searching up jetting.

Is it the jet needle that I should be changing or is it the needle jet. On the link below-number 6 or number 37. I am going to get the Q-o to try.
I have only ever changed the pilot and main, should I be doing anything else.

thanks in advance

Hatto

Sorry - hears the link http://www.motorcyclecarbs.com/mikun...es/TMframe.htm

In that diagram, the needle jet is #37. The stock size is a P-8. When I was running a Bill Blue TM34, I bumped mine up 1 notch to a Q-0.

the needle jet has been drilled out to a Q-O already that is one of the mods that I do to the carb.
What is the problem you are having? I will try to help you with it.

Hi Bill,
No real problems, I just wasn't sure if i have it dialled in completely and thought i would see the difference, but if it's already done than good.
I have a slight problem with surging at Idle (rich or lean???) and need to change idle once warm otherwise it hangs on when idleing down steep hills slow
I am changing throttle and cable this week, so that may fix because they are worn

cheers and thanks for replies everyone
