looks great mustang!

i really want to put a 2009+ klx headlight on my klx300 project also, just may have to jump on the bracket and light set up on ebay if i cant find a better deal first.

judging from the pictures and mods you had to make on that bracket, then comparing them to my triple trees, looks like i will have a slightly harder time then you to get them installed properly. oh well..

Thanks everyone! I really hope to have it all back together in the next 2 or 3 weekends, so long as I don't have to work any of them.

Default Finishing up

Time to get this baby running! First, I decided to spit polish the exhaust, get the bronze off the stainless and make the aluminum can shine again.

Then, I mounted the front fender and the wheels. New brake pads, a Bill Blue front brake hose, and a new chain and sprockets went on as well. These tires are Kenda K270s. They look a little tame for this bike, but I have 2 sets of wheels. These are my "street" wheels, so the 270s went on them. My other set of "dirt" wheels have a Kenda TrakMaster on the rear, and I'm waiting for Pirelli Scorpion Pro for the front. Those wheels are in the background on the right.

Ready to rock! I have a new set of '07 plastics for it, but when I put them on, the graphics looked like crap with the rest of the bike. I stuck my original plastic on for the pics.

If ever there was a bike that begged for black side panels, this one is it. Or green even, but definitely not white. I'm going to put new graphics on the new plastic, and come up with some way to black out the side panels without paint.

Now I've got a problem. She's too clean and shiny to get dirty! I didn't count on this when I started this project, but I almost don't have the heart to take her offroad. Almost...

I'm just curious. What do you guys think I could get out my bike if I sold it? Not that I want to, but after all that work, I wonder what it's worth. Every bearing was replaced, the forks rebuilt, all new rubber, new brakes and front brake hose, and a new chain and sprockets. I've got 2 sets of wheels, 2 seats, 2 sets of plastic (1 set brand new). Add in the big bore kit, pumper carb, full exhaust, Clarke tank, plus all the powder coating and anodizing. I still have every stock part ever taken off, every receipt for the bike, and it's entire life is photo-documented. With just shy of 5500 miles on the engine, what I could I reasonably expect to get out it?

Again, I'm just asking out of curiousity.
